Project Summary
A prominent auto insurance company serving the entire Vancouver BC region, put into action an extensive content migration and website replatforing project. The project's objective was to transition from an outdated Sharepoint website and CMS to a modern, scalable web platform and CMS built using NextJS and Contentful.
Content Audit
Conducted a thorough audit of the legacy website (over 500 pages), which involved scrutinizing not only the page hierarchy, page templates, component types, and media asset types but also uncovering any inconsistencies, or opportunities for optimization.
Information Architecture and Content Model Design
Created a detailed sitemap, defined page templates, identified sunsetted pages and media assets, made needed template and component redesigns, and contributed to Contentful CMS content model development.
Content Migration Planning
Planned the process for manually migrating content that could not be automated. Offered guidance on necessary modifications or additions to Contentful's content models. Made significant contributions to the UAT process to validate all page content and layouts.
